Keller @ Large: Body Language Expert Analyzes Goodell, Boston 2024
BOSTON (CBS) -- What's going through Roger Goodell's head when he talks about DeflateGate?
According to one body language expert, the NFL commissioner looks nervous.
"He's trying to hide any kind of facial expression with that blank face," non-verbal communications specialist Don Khoury, looking at one recent Goodell press conference, told WBZ-TV political analyst Jon Keller. "It looks like to me there's a tremendous amount of anxiety, he's swaying back and forth."
And Tom Brady may have been grinning during his talk at Salem State University after the Wells Report dropped, but Khoury said it didn't appear to be a happy smile.
"There's no wrinkling around the eyes with that smile," Khoury said. "Touching of the face would also indicate he's uncomfortable."
Khoury also watched Boston 2024 Chairman Steve Pagliuca take questions about the how holding Olympic events at the TD Garden could disrupt nearby traffic.
"He's getting a little bit nervous, but he's very confident in what he's saying," Khoury said.
Khoury also looks at presidential candidate Donald Trump, President Barack Obama and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh's body language.
