Kanye West Pop-Up Store Coming To Boston This Weekend
BOSTON (CBS/AP) -- Kanye West is opening pop-up stores in 21 cities across the globe this weekend--including one at a yet-to-be-announced location in Boston.
The rapper-turned-fashion mogul tweeted out a map Wednesday showing red dots over the cities that will host the stores, which will sell clothing inspired by his latest album, "The Life of Pablo."
The store locations will be released on the artist's website 24 hours before they open.
In addition to Boston, the stores will open in 13 other U.S. cities including New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, as well as international cities including London, Berlin, and Sydney.
West appears to be expanding the pop-up store concept following a successful run at a New York City location in March. According to Vogue, West sold a reported $1 million worth of merchandise at that pop-up.
Wherever the Boston store will be, fans can expect long lines. The New York Daily News reported back in March that shoppers lined up for blocks to snatch the artist's clothing--like a recycled Levis jacket customized by West that was on sale at the store for $400.
