Devils' Joseph Blandisi Commits Egregious Dive, Draws Embellishment Penalty [VIDEO]

By Matt Dolloff, CBS Boston

BOSTON (CBS) -- There are few things more frustrating than seeing your team take a penalty on a dive by the opposing player. But there are few things more satisfying than said diver getting caught trying to rat a power play off of you.

The New Jersey Devils' Joseph Blandisi got caught about as red-handed as you could during Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers. Yes, Blandisi does take a slash to the back of the knee, which can hurt, but they typically do not make you leap in the air as if you just stepped on a landmine.

Blandisi looks like a skateboarder doing a "Christ Air" move. Except in this case, instead of being totally rad, he drew an embellishment penalty. The refs also called the slashing penalty, though.

Congrats to Blandisi for etching his name into the annals of sports stupidity history forever.
