Man Charged In Dorchester Gas Station Clerk Murder Held Without Bail

UPDATE 11/16/18: Prosecutors withdrew murder charges again Kevin Williams, citing insufficient evidence "to establish guilt or innocence."

DORCHESTER (CBS) – The man charged with killing a popular gas station clerk in Dorchester was ordered held without bail Tuesday.

Kevin Williams, 21, hid behind a door as he pleaded not guilty to a murder charge at his arraignment in Dorchester Municipal Court, just across the street from the murder scene. Investigators say he shot and killed 67-year-old Jose Luis Phinn Williams at the Fabian gas station on Washington Street late Saturday night as Phinn Williams was finishing his shift.
