Jeff Howe With Adam Jones: Patriots Tougher Now Than In Years Past
BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Herald Patriots beat writer Jeff Howe talked with Adam Jones about the recent postseason struggles of New England, and he believes that this team has made improvements from prior playoff exits.
"I think they are a lot tougher. I think they're a lot more mentally strong and capable of handling adverse situations. It really comes down to the toughness. The way they beat up the Ravens in Week 16 was really emblematic of a team that was built to have playoff success," Howe said Tuesday night.
"When you find the parallels of the teams they've lost to in the playoffs since 2007, it's been well established that those have been teams with really physical front sevens, or front fours that can get after the quarterback and try to beat you up - the Patriots are more capable themselves of doing that this season."

"You've heard them say a million times this year how mentally strong they are, because of the way they've been able to win games because of the comeback and overcoming deficits, the tough weather conditions and so on and so forth - that may be the difference this season than in the past few."
