At about three o'clock Friday morning I got a text from Joe Mathieu that said he was heading out to Westover AFB on official WBZ assignment to ride up with the United States Army jump team known as the Golden Knights. I decided to tag with him and we left at six.
After a briefing that talked about lack of oxygen and other unpleasant eventualities, we took off in a plane with the Army skydive team, the Golden Knights. There were two big open doors in the back of the plane. We strapped in near the those doors and took off. What a rush. After climbing over two miles,the team bailed out. Ya gotta see it. Joe did all the work and I just had fun. Thanks to Joe for letting me come along and watch him work. View the video to share the experience.
