Young Woman Killed In Route 3 Crash In Hingham

HINGHAM (CBS) -- A 24-year-old Quincy woman died after her car went off the highway in Hingham early Wednesday morning.
Massachusetts State Police said Brittany Hayden was killed after her Volkswagen Jetta went off Route 3 Northbound just before Exit 15 around 1:10 a.m.
The car struck the guardrail and rolled over into the woods.
Hayden was thrown from her car and suffered life-threatening injuries. She was taken to South Shore Hospital, where she died.
The cause of the crash was not yet known.
The right lane of Route 3 Northbound was closed while the crash was investigated, and all lanes were reopened around 5:40 a.m.
