High-Speed Police Chase Ends In Hingham

HINGHAM (CBS) -- A high-speed police chase ended with a car flipped over in Hingham Wednesday morning.

The pursuit started in Scituate after a graduate of Scituate High School violated a stay away order from the school. A resource officer spotted him, called other officers and the man fled, according to police.

Several police vehicles pursued the man driving a small blue Nissan convertible that was weaving in and out of traffic, WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Doug Cope reported.

The chase continued through Scituate and Cohasset before ending at Central and Emerald streets in Hingham.

Scituate High School was briefly on lockdown during the chase.

The driver, a man in his 20s, was in custody after the single-car crash.
