High Bail For Man Charged In Dorchester Home Invasion
BOSTON (CBS/AP) — A Boston man arrested following a fatal shooting during a home invasion in the city's Dorchester section has answered to a judge.
Cedrick Slayden hid behind a wall at his arraignment Thursday on three gun charges. A judge ordered him held on $50,000 cash bail.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Doug Cope reports
Authorities say two masked men tried to force their way into an apartment on Wednesday morning, but the resident opened fire, killing one of them.
Police allegedly tackled Slayden as he fled from the home and threw a loaded handgun over a fence.
The shooting remains under investigation and no other names have been released.
The apartment resident has not been charged with a crime.
Slayden already had a pending larceny charge, prosecutors said.
