Hernandez Financial Situation In Question; Attorneys File Motion
BOSTON (CBS) - Attorneys for Aaron Hernandez have filed a motion in court to give him some time to fix his financial situation so he can continue to pay his defense team.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030 has confirmed a report by Fox Sports that a motion was filed by attorneys Charles Rankin and James Sultan on behalf of Hernandez, asking for two months to make financial arrangements.
The filing says the two attorneys are only hired to handle arraignments and connected proceedings.
A third attorney working with Hernandez, Michael Fee, has not filed a similar motion.
Hernandez now stands accused of killing three people -- Daniel D'Abreu and Safiro Furtado outside a Boston nightclub in July 2012, and Odin Lloyd in North Attleboro about a year later.
Hernandez had signed a five-year deal worth $40 million with the Patriots months before Lloyd's murder. It's believed he collected close to $10 million of that money. He also had a number of endorsement deals, all of which were eventually terminated.
A restraining order prevents him from selling his home, worth $1.3 million.

Hernandez due back in court June 24th.
