Haverhill Water Department Worker Rescued After Trench Collapse

HAVERHILL (CBS) – A Water Department employee was trapped up to his waist following a trench collapse in Haverhill on Wednesday.
It happened just before 10 a.m. on Carleton Street.
The Water Department employee was alert and conscious when rescuers arrived.
The man was removed from the trench and evaluated, but declined treatment.
