'We called this one wrong,' Haverhill Public Schools apologizes for keeping schools open during nor'easter
HAVERHILL – Haverhill Public Schools apologized Tuesday for keeping schools open during the nor'easter.
"We called this one wrong, and we are so sorry!" the department posted on Facebook.
The district decided not to cancel classes because it believed the precipitation would not switch from rain to snow until after 1 p.m.
Instead, snow began falling earlier, leading to slick roads.
The start of classes were delayed two hours Wednesday morning.
