Academy Bus Hits MBTA Bus, Several Other Vehicles In Boston's Back Bay

BOSTON (CBS) -- An Academy bus hit an MBTA bus and several other vehicles Friday night in Boston's Back Bay.

Boston Police were called to the area of Huntington Avenue and Exeter Street shortly before 8:30 p.m. on a report of a multi-vehicle crash.

Witness Walter Faulter told WBZ-TV's Julie Loncich he was sitting at a red light, when all of a sudden he saw cars shifting beside him and the bus crash into the vehicles.

Seven passengers were on board the MBTA bus, but no one was hurt, MBTA officials say. Two women traveling in a car were hurt, but the extent of their injuries and current condition are unknown.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by police.

Huntington Avenue was shut down from Exeter Street to Ring Road for a time but later reopened.

No additional information was immediately available.
