Gresh & Zo: Who Has Been The Bruins First Half MVP?
BOSTON (CBS) - With a record of 27-12-2, the Bruins are now at the halfway point through the 2013-14 season.
They currently stand at first place in the Atlantic Division, and their 56 points are good for second in the Eastern Conference behind only Pittsburgh's 59.
Scott Zolak and Mike Flynn want to know: what are your thoughts on their first half of the season? How do you feel about your team and who is the Bruins MVP so far?
Gresh: Seguin Trade Working Out Because Of Reilly Smith
There's no shortage of players to choose from. Reilly Smith was the first player that came to mind for Scott Zolak.
It was Loui Eriksson that was supposed to be the centerpiece of the trade that sent Tyler Seguin to the Dallas Stars, but rookie right winger Reilly Smith has been the greatest return in that deal as of right now.
Smith leads all Bruins forwards in power play goals, is second on the team in points and ranks first in goals scored.
"Where would this team be without Reilly Smith?" said Zo Friday morning.

After signing a $56 million contract in the offseason, goaltender Tuukka Rask has lived up to his end of the bargain in the 2013-14 season. Rask leads all NHL goalies with four shutouts and is in the top five in both save percentage and wins.
What's been the most encouraging sign for Mike Flynn is the way that the Bruins players have stepped up when their teammates have gone down with injury - or suspended in Shawn Thornton's case.
