Woman Allegedly Assaulted 2-Year-Old Girl At Boston Public Garden

BOSTON (CBS) – Police are searching for a woman who allegedly assaulted a two-year-old girl at the Public Garden in April.

On April 17, the day before the Boston Marathon, a parent says her daughter was playing by the Make Way for Ducklings statues when an unknown woman approached her, swore at her and then pushed her to the ground. Police released images of the suspect Thursday evening.

The girl suffered a minor abrasion on her ankle.

Although the incident happened more than a month ago, the parents of the girl "want the woman who did it to take responsibility for her actions."

Anyone with information can call detectives at (617) 343-4248 or text the word 'TIP' to CRIME (27463).
