Walpole Man Believed To Be Oldest In State Celebrates 107th Birthday

WALPOLE (CBS) – Fred Blizard celebrated 107 years in style. Family and friends threw a birthday bash for the centenarian on Thursday.

Blizard is believed to be the oldest man in Massachusetts. Former New England Patriots linebacker Vern Crawford stopped by Walpole Health Care to present Blizard a Pats jersey with "107" on the back.

"I'm very happy to be here," Blizard said.

Blizard was born in Canada in 1913 and worked at Raytheon for 26 years.
