Route 135 reopens in Framingham after freight train derailment
FRAMINGHAM – Route 135 in Framingham re-opened early Monday morning after a freight train derailed near Cedar Street Sunday morning.
The CSX train with six railcars and one locomotive was heading to CP Framingham Yard when it derailed around 10 a.m. near Waverly Street.
A CSX spokesperson said five of the six cars that went off the tracks had hazardous chemicals.
All of the cars stayed upright and no leaks or injuries were reported.
