Framingham State Police Investigating Hate Crime Incident
FRAMINGHAM (CBS) - Framingham State University Police are investigating a hate crime incident after a small swastika was found scratched into the side of a car on Thursday.
A student called police to the Salem End lot where his car was parked at about 2:14 p.m. The car was parked there from 10:15 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The swastika was carved into the driver's side door, police say.
"The FSU Bias Protocol and Response Team has been made aware of the incident, and will await the outcome of the police investigation to determine any additional measures that may be needed to respond to this incident," said chief diversity and inclusion officer Sean Huddleston in a Saturday press statement.
"...Our goal is to address and resolve incidents of bias that impede our progress toward a welcoming and inclusive campus community. As such, incidents such as these simply cannot be tolerated on our campus."
