Four WBZ Runners Complete Soggy Boston Marathon

BOSTON (CBS) – Four members of the WBZ team successfully completed the 119th running of the Boston Marathon.

Chief Meteorologist Eric Fisher, anchor David Wade, reporter Nicole Jacobs and editor Phil Vaughn made their way through 26.2 miles on a cold and rainy Marathon Monday.

Fisher led the WBZ charge with a time of 3:46:24. His time was 20 minutes faster than his previous finish in 2014.

"As soon as the rain let up a little bit it got a lot easier," Fisher said following the finish.

Vaughn crossed the finish line in 4:21:09, Jacobs ran the course in 4:31:41 and Wade ended his first Boston Marathon in 4:49:21.

Fisher joked after he crossed the finish line that he already knew where his next stop would be.

"Time for a beer, a burger. We'll be good," he said.
