Fitchburg Teacher's Aide Grateful To Whomever Sent Racy Photos To School

FITCHBURG (CBS) – A teacher's aide who was placed on leave over racy photos says she's actually grateful for whoever informed the school about the photos.

On Thursday, Kaitlin Pearson appeared on The TJ Show on 103.3 AMP Radio and WBZ-TV and said she is glad the ordeal is behind her.

"I'm not going to stop pursuing something I love," Kaitlin told WBZ-TV's Lauren Leamanczyk. "I love my kids and I love teaching them and I love modeling."

Earlier this month, the South Street Elementary School in Fitchburg suspended Pearson after someone anonymously sent her modeling photos to the school. She was eventually reinstated.

Pearson said she was grateful for the support she received from her family and from others. She also defended her second career.  "I don't bring it into the classroom," she said of her modeling, joking that her students were more concerned about dinosaurs anyway.

"I believe I'm a very good role model. I went to college. I went to school. I got great grades."

Pearson says she's not upset with whoever told the school about the photos.

"I really right now would just go up to them and shake their hand," Kaitlin told the AMP Radio hosts TJ and Loren. "I couldn't even pay for this."

Pearson says she loves her job now, but she is also hopeful about continuing her modeling career.

"Right now I'm ecstatic that I'm a teacher and that I get to work with the kids that I do," she said. "I do hope one day that I'm a promotional model. That's something that some day I'd really like to do."
