Firefighters Battle Abington Brush Fire

ABINGTON (CBS) -- Firefighters from several communities helped Abington Fire Department battle a brush fire on Saturday.

Firefighters received a call about the blaze about 5 p.m. The two-to-three acre fire was in the woods under the utility pole at Groveland and East Ashland Streets.

Brockton, Hanson, Holbrook and Whitman fire departments provided five tankers at the scene.

Firefighters were on scene for about three hours.

The fire was eventually extinguished.

No one was hurt in the fire.

The origin and cause of the fire is under investigation.
