Felger & Mazz: May 27, 2014

Felger and Massarotti kicked off the week discussing the Boston Red Sox and yesterday's win that snapped their 10-game losing streak. After going down early to the Atlanta Braves, the Red Sox were able to make a comeback and end the losing streak. What did we learn about the Red Sox during the 10-game losing streak? What is wrong with Clay Buchholz? Can it be fixed? Does A.J. Pierzynski have a problem taking accountability for his mistakes? Finally, the guys discussed Jerry Remy's son, Jared, pleading guilty to the murder of Jennifer Martel.

In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz talked about the bench-clearing skirmish between the Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday. The Rays were up five runs on the Red Sox when Yunel Escobar stole 3rd base. Did the Red Sox overreact to the Escobar's steal? To wrap up the hour, Mike and Tony got into the NHL Playoffs. The New York Rangers have a 3-1 series lead over the Montreal Canadiens with a chance to close it out tonight.

During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys discussed the New England Patriots and their quarterback situation. Tom Brady spoke with Peter King of TheMMQB.com and talked about his future and Pats drafting a quarterback in the 2nd round. How many elite years does Brady have left it the tank? Mike and Tony went on to discuss the off-season of the Boston Bruins, the Boston Celtics, the NBA Draft, and Rick Pitino's comments about Dirk Nowitzki. Finally, the guys discussed Jared Remy's guilty plea to the murder of Jennifer Martel.

In the fourth and final Hour, Felger and Mazz got back into the Red Sox and the struggles of Clay Buchholz. What's wrong with Buchholz? Is A.J. Pierzynski a problem in the Red Sox clubhouse? Did the Red Sox overreact to Yunel Escobar's stolen base in Sunday's game? Before the Final Word with Marc Bertrand, the guys discussed Josh Beckett's no-hitter and Manny Ramirez's return to baseball with the Chicago Cubs.
