Felger & Mazz: March 21, 2014
It's an Agenda Free Friday with Tony Massarotti and Marc Bertrand. The guys are discussing all the stories from the Felger-Free week. Have the New England Patriots done enough in the off-season to catch the Denver Broncos? Are the Boston Red Sox ready to give David Ortiz an extension?
In Hour 2, Marc and Tony got into the Patriots and potential rule changes in the NFL. The guys also discussed the NCAA Tournament. #3 Duke was upset by #14 Mercer. Will the Duke loss affect Jabari Parker's draft status? Mazz and Bertrand went on to talk about the injury of Cincinnati Reds pitcher Aroldis Chapman. Chapman was struck in the face with a line drive. How can pitchers protect themselves better? Finally, the guys went over some preseason MLB projections.
During Hour 3 of Massarotti and Bertrand, the guys discussed the willingness of free agent shortstop Stephen Drew to sign a one-year deal with the Detroit Tigers. Is signing Drew for one-year worth giving up a 1st-round draft pick to the Tigers? Getting into some hockey talk, did the Boston Bruins give up on Tyler Seguin too soon? Could Dennis Seidenberg be back for the playoffs?
In the fourth and final Hour, Mazz and Bertrand were joined by Red Sox catcher David Ross. The guys went on to take some phones on all the topics they covered this week. To wrap up the week, we hear from Squeaky Mazz and Mad Mike in the Final Word with Marshall Hook.
