Felger & Mazz: February 5, 2014
Felger and Massarotti opened the day discussing the off-season of the Boston Red Sox. This off-season the Sox have resigned Mike Napoli and brought in Grady Sizemore and A.J. Pierzynski. Have the Sox done enough this off-season? There are reports that both the Red Sox and New York Mets are interested in shortstop Stephen Drew. Mike and Tony went on to talk about the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and some of the issues with the venue.
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz continue to talk about the Red Sox off-season. Should the Sox look to move one of their starting pitchers? Should the Sox offer David Ortiz a contract extension? The guys went on to discuss the state of the Boston Bruins. Are there any glaring weaknesses in this Bruins team?
During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guy discussed the New England Patriots and their defense. Is the Pats defense aggressive enough? Is better to have a physical defense or an intelligent defense?
In the fourth and final hour, Felger and Mazz continue to talk about the Patriots defense. The toilet system in Sochi for the 2014 Winter Olympics was still a hot topic for Mike and Tony. Today the NFL announced a new deal with the NFL Network and CBS. CBS will be airing 8 of the NFL's Thursday night games. Finally, it's the Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
