Felger & Mazz: February 25, 2014
Felger and Massarotti were joined by Jermaine Wiggins and the guys opened the day discussing the NFL Combine. Is the Combine a waste of time? The guys also talked about the NFL's attempt to crack down on racial slurs. The NFL is considering making the use of a racial slur a 15-yard penalty. Can the words that are said on the field actually affect the game?
In Hour 2 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys and Wiggy talked about the situation between the San Francisco 49ers and head coach Jim Harbaugh. Reports say that Jim Harbaugh was almost traded to the Cleveland Browns. Who is more important to the 49ers? Head coach Jim Harbaugh or general manager Trent Baalke? The guys went on to play this week's edition of 10 Questions with Wiggy. Before the callers got to ask Wiggy some questions, the guys discussed how the New England Patriots could use their Franchise Tag.
During Hour 3 of Felger and Mazz, the guys discuss the Boston Celtics and Rajon Rondo. Rondo did not make the trip with the team when they traveled from Los Angeles to Sacramento. Rondo stayed in L.A. to celebrate his birthday. Rondo skipped the trip without permission. Are the C's and Rondo on a different page?
In the fourth and final hour, Felger and Massarotti get back into David Ortiz's future with the Boston Red Sox. Also, will the Sox miss Jacoby Ellsbury? Mike and Tony continued the hour taking calls one everything they've discussed today. To wrap up the day, we hear the Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
