Felger & Mazz: April 11, 2014
Felger and Massarotti kicked of an Agenda Free Friday discussing last night's Boston Red Sox 4-1 loss in the series opener against the New York Yankees. Was Yankee pitcher Michael Pineda deliberately doctoring the baseball last night? How come the Red Sox didn't question the substance on Pineda's hand? Mike and Tony went on to talk about Boston Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs' interest in buying the NFL's Buffalo Bills. Is Jacobs really not interested in owning the Buffalo Bills?
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz got back into last night's Red Sox loss to the Yankees. The Red Sox have only had 4 hits in each of their last 2 games. Where's the offense? Mike and Tony continue to react to the Pineda Pine Tar controversy. Do teams protect other teams that cheat? Finally, Mazz discusses his return to writing.
During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys continued to discuss doctoring the baseball. Why did the Red Sox downplay Michael Pineda's pine tar? The Boston Celtics are tied for the 3rd worst record in the NBA. Is the Lottery the best way to rebuild a franchise? Is the Wonderlic test a good way to judge a quarterback's intelligence?
In the fourth and final Hour of an Agenda Free Friday, Felger and Mazz get back into the doctoring of the baseball. If no one is going to question pitchers that may be doctoring the ball, why not load up the ball? Mike and Tony continue to take calls on everything else they discussed today. To wrap up the week, we hear from Mad Mike and Squeaky Mazz in the Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
