Father Charged In Beating Death Of 2-Year-Old Daughter
BERLIN N.H. (CBS) -- Police arrested the father of the 2 1/2-year-old girl murdered on Sunday and charged him with beating the girl to death.
According to the New Hampshire Attorney General's office, police arrested Roger Joseph Dana, 43, for murdering his daughter, Madison Dana. Police say Dana physically assaulted Madison multiple times, ultimately killing her.
Police say Madison was taken to the Androscoggin Valley Hospital from her Berlin home Sunday where she was pronounced dead. An autopsy found she died of blunt impact injuries, and the manner of her death was homicide.
The DA's office adds Madison showed "extreme indifference to the value of human life."
On Friday, police charged Dana with second degree murder. He is expected to be arraigned in the First Circuit - District Division Court in Lancaster on Monday.
