Falling Glass Prompts Active Shooter False Alarm At South Shore Plaza
BRAINTREE (CBS) - A Boston area mall was evacuated after unfounded reports of an active shooter.
Shoppers at Braintree's South Shore Plaza rushed to the exits while security evacuated the mall after the loud crashing noise.
The reports were prompted by noise near the South Shore Plaza's Brookstone store.
It turned out that the noise was caused by three large panes of glass hitting the mall floor.
There are NO gunshots at the South Shore Plaza. A large pane of glass fell. Repeat. NOT gunshots

There were no shots fired and there were no injuries.
The mall is open for business again.
