Fairhaven Man Picks Brady's No. 12 To Win $1 Million Lottery Prize

FOXBORO (CBS) -- A Fairhaven man picked Tom Brady's No. 12 and won a $1 million lottery prize during halftime of a New England Patriots game Sunday.

Ernest Tomascik won the grand prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery's "Million Dollar Drive" at Gillette Stadium. He had the chance to go for $1 million after he was randomly picked from more than 965,000 internet entries in the 2009 New England Patriots Instant Ticket Second Chance program.

At halftime, 24 oversized tickets were placed on the field, numbered 1 to 24 with prizes beneath each ticket ranging from $100,000 to $1 million. Two of the tickets were hiding $1 million prizes.

The lottery said Tomascik chose Tom Brady's jersey number – No. 12 – to reveal the $1 million prize.

The 2009 New England Patriots Instant Ticket sold for $5. Information for current Patriots lottery games can be found at www.masslottery.com
