F-15's Flyover Captures Attention Of Boston, Eastern Massachusetts

BOSTON (CBS) - People across the city and eastern Massachusetts looked up in the beautiful fall sky Thursday morning and caught a rare - and loud - sight.

Five F-15 fighter jets from the The Massachusetts Air National Guard's 104th Fighter Wing zipped around for a promotional shoot between 8:30 and 9 a.m.

Photos from Thursday's event will appear in a future issue of the National Guard magazine.

The Guard announced the flight plan earlier this week.

The jets took off from Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield and flew at altitudes as low as 1,000 feet over Hanscom AFB in Bedford, Salem, Boston, Norwood Airport, Gillette Stadium, the Cape and Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.
