Police Search For Suspects In Deadly Everett Shooting

EVERETT (CBS) – Police are searching for two suspects after a late night shooting in Everett. A man in his 20s was killed in the shooting.

Everett Police and Massachusetts State Police investigators were on scene for hours after a person was shot in the area of Partridge Terrace.

Police rushed to the area around 9 p.m. Tuesday night and blocked off the dead end road that is right off of busy Chelsea Street.

The victim's identity has not yet been released. He was rushed to Cambridge Health Alliance Hospital in Everett but did not survive.

A woman who said she is the victim's aunt told WBZ-TV's her nephew was 25 years old and had just moved to the area.

Investigators could be seen searching for evidence with flashlights and closely examining a car. Police also spoke to residents in the area.

Police said two people were seen taking off from the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call Everett Police.

Neighbor Molly Cahill said the violence was out of character for the normally quiet neighborhood.

"Very nice, quiet little Everett neighborhood. You go from dead quiet to this. I don't know. It's a shock," she said.
