Elderly Woman Believed Dead In Ashburnham Fire
ASHBURNHAM (CBS) -- An elderly woman is believed to be dead after a fire at a home in Ashburnham on Friday, officials said.
Firefighters battled the afternoon blaze at a one-family home on Wilker Road, a spokeswoman for the state fire marshal said. They were unable to rescue an elderly woman, she said.
An adult woman and two children were transported to a hospital with injuries, and the children's injuries were described by officials as minor.
The fire is being investigated by local and state authorities.
