East Boston Man Charged With Possession Of Explosive Devices, Drugs, Weapons

BOSTON (CBS) -- An East Boston man is facing several charges after he was allegedly found with drugs, weapons, and improvised explosive devices in his home on Friday afternoon.

As part of an ongoing investigation, Drug Control and Explosive Ordinance units executed a search warrant around 12:30 p.m. at the Eutaw Street house. Police say they found a cache of weapons, ammunition, multiple drugs, and two IEDs, according to the Boston Police Department blog.

Nicholas Marchesi, 27, was taken into custody. He has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession with intent to distribute Class A drugs, and possession with intent to distribute Class D drugs.

He will appear in East Boston District Court.
