1 Dead In East Boston Shooting

BOSTON (CBS) – One person was killed in an East Boston shooting Sunday night.

Gunshots were reported in the area of Orleans and Marginal Street.

A man in his 20s was shot and did not survive.

Police do not believe the incident was random, and are investigating it as a possible transaction gone wrong.

The victim was shot inside a dark colored vehicle, then pushed out of the car.

Detectives are searching for a Toyota Rav4.

"We believe the parties involved here know each other. So right now we're actively looking for that vehicle," said Boston Police Commissioner William Evans.

Just minutes after the shooting, a second shooting was reported in Revere.

A person reported a gunshot wound to the arm.

Sources told the WBZ-TV I-Team that the two shootings appear to be related.
