Duxbury Police: Mailbox Bottle Bombs Appear To Be Teenage Prank
DUXBURY (CBS) -- Police say two bottle bombs found in Duxbury mailboxes on Sunday appear to be part of a youth prank.
Investigators have identified the four teenagers they believe are responsible, and say it was not a random act.
"At this point the act appears to be a prank being played on an acquaintance," police said in a statement.
Police shut down the area of Valley and Franklin streets on Sunday afternoon as they responded to the threats.

The juveniles were identified by a witness who saw them running from the area, according to police.
One of the teenagers apparently learned how to make the device from an instructional YouTube video, police said.
Though they're calling it a prank, authorities say the youths got themselves in a very dangerous situation.
"They could really damage their bodies with it, especially the acid in the eyes, they could lose sight." Duxbury Fire Chief Kevin Nord said.
