Driver Killed On I-495 In Andover As Corvette Gets Pinned Under Tractor-Trailer

ANDOVER (CBS) - A driver was killed in Andover late Monday night after his Corvette ended up pinned underneath a tractor-trailer.

It happened on Route 495 south just before 11:30 p.m.

The driver of the car was killed after it ended up pinned under the truck. (WBZ-TV)

Massachusetts State Police said the driver, 40-year-old Christopher Rigano of Malden, lost control of his Corvette and hit another vehicle before colliding with the back end of the truck.

Rigano died at the scene.

A 41-year-old Spencer man driving a 2005 Honda Accord and a 43-year-old North Dakota man who was driving the tractor-trailer were not hurt in the crash.

It is still not clear what caused Rigano to lose control over his Corvette.
