No arrests made after two teens found shot to death in Braintree
BRAINTREE - The search continues for the suspect or suspects who shot and killed two teenagers who were sitting in a car in Braintree, early Sunday morning.
Police were called to the scene on Alfred Road after several 911 callers reported gunshots at around 1:30 a.m.
Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey said two victims with gunshot wounds were found in a car. Both were pronounced dead at the hospital.
A third person in the car wasn't hurt and Morrissey said that remains under investigation.
Multiple casings were found on the scene, according to Morrissey, and believes more than one shooter was involved.
The victims have been identified Jahzier Porter, 16, of Braintree and Jayden Santos-Andrade, 19, of Dorchester.
Morrissey said Porter lived on Alfred Road and police confirmed they had been called to his home in the past year.
Porter was a student at Braintree High School and Mayor Charles Kokoros said grief counselors will be available for anyone who needs it.
"This is a very, very bad tragedy that we've had here in Braintree and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family," Kokoros said.
Neighbors who spoke with WBZ did not want to be identified.
"I heard noises like gunshots but I was not sure, so I was thinking maybe fireworks," one neighbor said. "I don't feel safe at all. I'm really scared. I have kids."
No arrests have been made.
