DEA Agents, Haverhill Police Charge Man With Trafficking Heroin

HAVERHILL (CBS) -- DEA agents and Haverhill Police have charged a man with trafficking heroin following his arrest Friday afternoon in a McDonald's parking lot.

Agents from Portland, Maine, Boston, DEA Cross Border Initiative and local police detectives were involved in the arrest of 22-year-old Christopher Graciano-Fernandez around noon outside the fast food restaurant on River Street in Haverhill, according to the Haverhill Police Facebook page.

During the arrest, 300 grams of fentanyl laced with heroin with a street value of $20,000 were seized by investigators.

Graciano-Fernandez was held without bail, and he is slated for arraignment Monday in Haverhill District Court.
