Day After Kicking 53-Yard Field Goal, Vinatieri Ordered To Take Random Drug Test

BOSTON (CBS) -- Even at the age of 42, Adam Vinatieri is still kicking the football with authority.

The future Hall of Fame kicker put the cherry on top of Indianapolis' 26-10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card round on Sunday, booting a 53-yard field goal with plenty of room to spare in the fourth quarter.

The kicker will go down as one of the best of all time, but apparently the NFL wants to make sure Vinatieri's skills are still his own. On Monday, Vinatieri was ordered by the league to take a random drug test.

Colts punter Pat McAfee tweeted out a photo of the picture, and seems a little suspicious about the request:

Vinatieri, who has won three Super Bowl rings with New England and another with the Colts over his 19-year NFL career, was nearly perfect during the regular season, going 30-for-31 on his field goal attempts. He missed a 46-yard attempt in the final game of the regular season -- his 42nd birthday.
