Massachusetts Police Departments Observe Moment Of Silence For Dallas

BOSTON (CBS) – Several police departments in Massachusetts joined the rest of the nation Friday in marking a moment of silence for the Dallas Police Department after a deadly ambush of police officers.

Five officers were killed and more were hurt Thursday night in a shooting that followed a peaceful protest over the recent deaths of black men at the hands of police.

Police departments all over the Bay State have expressed their support for Dallas cops on social media, and several took part in a moment of silence at 1 p.m.

"Rest in peace brothers," Wilmington police wrote on Instagram.

#WPD paused town wide at 1PM for a moment of silence for the officers killed and wounded in the line of duty in Dallas,Texas.
