Daily Talker: Updating Menino's Signs

Thomas Menino has ended his 20 years as mayor of Boston. And his legacy can be easily seen all over the city.

At the entrances to neighborhoods, outside community centers and parks, even on downtown maps and trash bins, Menino's name is featured on roughly 2,000 signs. New Mayor Marty Walsh has said he's in no rush to change them all, but over time they will get updated, which means eventually they will become outdated again and will need to get changed.

Is this a good use of taxpayer money? Or should the practice of including the mayor's names on signs around the city be stopped? Share your comments below.
