Gun Pointed At Clerk In Attempted Concord, NH Robbery

CONCORD, N.H. (CBS) -- Police are looking for a man who pointed a gun at a store clerk in an attempted armed robbery in New Hampshire over the weekend.

Concord authorities say an unknown white man entered Sam's Food Store on Village Street at about 9:20 p.m. on Saturday. Surveillance images show the man pointing a black handgun at the clerk, who police said was ordered to open a nearby safe.

The clerk then hit a panic alarm, and the man left the store without hurting anyone or taking anything, officials said.

Police describe the man as about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, in his early 20s, wearing dark pants, a dark long-sleeve shirt, a blue baseball hat and a tan cloth over his face. He also wore mismatched shoes with bright red or orange laces on one shoe.

Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call police.
