Comcast Works To Repair Thousands Of Reported Network Outages
NEW YORK (CBS) -- Comcast engineers were working to restore service to thousands of customers Monday after a "temporary network interruption."
An outage map on Comcast's website showed that at least 3,350 reports of outages nationwide were made on Presidents Day, with many concentrated in the Northeast.
Comcast was flooded with complaints on social media as some customers only saw black on their TV channels.
Just after 2 p.m. on Monday, Comcast said it appeared the problem had been fixed.
"We have repaired the temporary network interruption that impacted some of our services this morning. Our engineers continue to work on this issue and almost all services have already been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our customers," Comcast said in a statement to WBZ-TV.
