Colts Owner Jim Irsay Tweets About DeflateGate
BOSTON (CBS) - Colts owner Jim Irsay is quite the follow on Twitter, and is perhaps one of the most active team owners on social media.
Irsay tweets Led Zeppelin lyrics, team transactions, contests and more -- sometimes in the wee hours of the morning.
On Sunday night, while seven of his Colts players were about to participate in the Pro Bowl, Irsay fired off a series of tweets addressing the controversy that stained last week's AFC Championship game, now known as DeflateGate.
Irsay started off by congratulating New England, and even admitted his team didn't have what it took to win:
We congratulate The Patriots as AFC Champions. We knew the difficulties of going to New England and did not overcome the obstacles we faced.

He then touched on the Indianapolis-New England rivalry, and what he expects to be an exciting Super Bowl matchup.
Our rivalry with The Pats is something we treasure in the depths of our competitive soul, where the fire burns hot. We look forward to 2015.

Seahawks/Pats will be a great Super Bowl. It's a great matchup between defending Champions and a team with championship lineage.

However, his final tweet on the matter seemed to suggest that his organization believes a wrongdoing took place, despite Bill Belichick's impassioned, impromptu press conference on Saturday and Tom Brady's public denial on Thursday.
We are confident the NFL and Commissioner will address the concerns that arouse from our Champ Game. The integrity of the game is critical.

Brady appeared on TV during the Pro Bowl telecast Sunday night and said the NFL has not yet spoken to him regarding the deflated footballs, and he expects that meeting to take place after the Super Bowl.
Tune in to Super Bowl XLIX on 98.5 The Sports Hub -- the flagship station of the New England Patriots. It's the only place to hear Bob Socci & Scott Zolak's local call of the game!
