National Guard Rescues South Shore Families After Nor'easter
BOSTON (CBS) – An entire Scituate neighborhood is flooded after a nor'easter hit New England Friday.
The rough surf proved to be too much for the seawall after high tide. Roads near Oceanside Drive are filled with water, snow, ice and lots of debris.
"It's bad, it's worse than I thought it would be, we're getting water from both sides," one Scituate resident told WBZ-TV.

Rapid assessment teams from the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency have been deployed to the area.
"You have got to wait for the water to recede to really get a feel for what damage there might be below the water," MEMA spokesman Peter Judge told WBZ-TV. "Right now we are evaluating and once we get all of that information then we will see what we can do."
In Duxbury, several families were evacuated by first responders in National Guard vehicles.
"Our basement filled with water, we were just so lucky to get out right now," said Sarah Bridges, who was rescued.
"It was fun but scary," said Timothy Powell of the rescue.
Flooding was also reported in Plum Island, Sandwich, Plymouth, Salisbury, Hull and Marshfield.
