Chinatown Water Main Break Leaves DPW Truck Stuck In Sinkhole
BOSTON (CBS) – A water main break early Thursday morning created a mess in Chinatown before the arrival of a Nor'easter.

A water main at Washington and Kneeland Streets broke around 5 a.m., flooded the area and created a sinkhole.
A Department of Public Works sanding truck then ended up stuck in the sinkhole.
There are no reports of any serious injuries.
But, traffic on Kneeland coming from the Massachusetts Turnpike and Southeast Expressway had to be diverted from the neighborhood.
"From the looks of it, this repair is going to take some time, so folks should definitely make alternative plans and avoid this area if at all possible," Boston Transportation Commissioner Tom Tinlin told WBZ-TV.
Tinlin said drivers should stay away from Washington Street between Kneeland and LaGrange Streets until the water and truck can be removed and the road is repaired.
