Arrest Made Following Stabbing In Chelsea's O'Malley State Park
BOSTON (CBS) – Police arrested a suspect in connection with a daytime stabbing in a Chelsea park. Officers and troopers took 30-year-old Walther Alexander Portillo-Alfaro into custody inside a Washington Street apartment in Chelsea.
Portillo-Alfaro had recently shaved his head bald and shaved his facial hair to try and later his appearance, police believe.
A 36-year-old man was stabbed in his face and neck at O'Malley State Park. He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital and is recovering.
Portillo-Alfaro is expected to be arraigned Thursday in Chelsea District court.
