Gov. Charlie Baker On Crutches

BOSTON (AP) — An old college basketball injury has Gov. Charlie Baker hobbling a bit.

The governor was on crutches Tuesday when he entered the state House of Representatives chamber to participate in the annual George L. Hanna Awards ceremony for police bravery.

A spokesman for Baker explained that an Achilles tendon injury he suffered while playing basketball at Harvard University acts up periodically, requiring him to stay off his left leg for a time.

The injury was not expected to curtail the governor's official activities.
