Celtics To Play Preseason Game At UMass' Mullins Center
BOSTON (CBS) -- The Boston Celtics will play a preseason game at UMass Amherst next season, but will actually be the road team for the exhibition tilt.
The Philadelphia 76ers will play host to the Celtics at the Mullins Center on October 4, 2016, the 76ers announced on Monday. Tickets for the preseason game will go on sale on Thursday, June 9, at MullinsCenter.com and Ticketmaster.
The two teams also met at UMass back in 2008 with the 76ers winning, 98-92. They were scheduled to play another preseason tilt at the Mullins Center again in 2011, but that game was canceled due to a league lockout.
