Celtics @ 7: Playoff Dreams Coming Closer To Reality
BOSTON (CBS) – The seventh-seeded Celtics are steps closer to making their playoff dreams a reality. On Saturday's "Celtics @ 7" on 98.5 The Sports Hub, though, host Adam Kaufman wondered if that's for the best.
The debate doesn't center around tanking, but rather whether the team actually benefits from finishing seventh and facing the LeBron James-led Cavaliers and getting embarrassed versus narrowly missing the postseason.
A first-round matchup with the superstar-lacking Hawks would be a far more compelling series for the green and one worth rooting for, but it isn't the present reality facing Brad Stevens' team.
Scott Souza of the MetroWest Daily News joined the show to offer his thoughts and also to discuss the return of Jared Sullinger.
Kaufman wrapped up the program by previewing the final three games of Boston's regular season, starting with Sunday's home game against Cleveland.
